I have my first project featured on Moda Bake Shop today! It's a quick & easy quilt pattern I designed using Jelly Roll strips. I'd love it if you guys would pop by their site and check it out when you have time :)
I also made some coordinating pillows with the leftover strips for added project inspiration! The smaller pillow is a 12" x 16" sham using 7 jelly roll strips (I trimmed down the pieces at the top and bottom a little to make the front the right size).
For the larger pillow, I made an extra quilt block (since it finishes at 18.5" square), sandwiched it with some scrap batting, and quilted. The finished size was about 17.5" square, so an 18" pillow form fit perfectly.
And here's a pic of all three together...don't they look like a happy little family? I couldn't be more pleased with the way everything turned out - I think this is my favorite of Aneela's fabric lines so far...those little foxes have stolen my heart :)
I also put together another quilt top using my pattern so you can see how it plays with different fabrics. I wanted something cheerful for the summer, so I raided my orange and blue scrap bins for this one (I bought an Heirloom plus a 1001 Peeps FQ bundle from Brenda at Pink Castle Fabrics back in the fall, and most of the orange scraps are from those lines). The two solids are Kona in Ash and Medium Gray.
